Fluffy Birmans and Cute Kittens

I would like to share with you two commissioned portrait about the Birman sisters. Kadife is a sweet little pirate kitten. She lost one of her eye due to acute glaucoma, because she was lucky to be treated by a good vet who knew which is the best decision in cases like hers. She is a charming fluffy creature, living a very happy life with her sister Kutsal, in Norway! Both sisters are beautiful creatures, and I enjoyed to paint about them equally. I am not able to decide which is more cute, I believe it must be amazing to have two fluffy hairball as company at home!

My third painting was made of a photograph about April and Adele, the sweet tabby kittens. What is more cute than a kitty? Two cute cuddling kittens! These sweethearts just cannot get enough from eachother, and it is exactly what they call a cuteness overload!

Since then he is a happy little cat, found his way to fit into a loving family! You can watch me painting little Tom here.

Watercolor Cat Art

Today I will start my introduction with a calico cat painting about the sweet Baby, had a very rough start in life. She was thrown out from a moving car at 7 weeks old, in a highway. For her luck Jordan found her, took her to the vet, and prayed days and nights until her broken leg was fixed, and bandages removed.

Then a Maine Coon painting about the majestic Regina! When I received the photograph of Regina I got totally hypnotised by her fiery eyes! I hope that I could capture well those sparkling warm yellow eyes, and the majestic blue fluffy fur on my watercolor painting! Thank you dear Robert for sending me your gorgeous photographs, It was a pleasure to paint about her!

And finally a blue cat watercolor portrait, remembering the the very handsome Russian Blue Jack, who had the sweetest nature and such beautiful green eyes, looked like you just saw the whole universe in them!

Three cat paintings

Another three cat art from my Cat Portraits Collection.

First of all a watercolor painting to remember the beloved Princess, this beautiful calico cat! She was a feral sister of the handsome twin cats Meeka and Vincent, who I introduced before, and unfortunately died in a car accident!

The second artwork is about Nefertiti, an Abyssinian cat painting. The Aby is often said to look as if they had just walked straight out of the wild. That’s because of his ticked coat pattern, which resembles that of wild cats such as cougars. Burned Sienna, Cinnamon, large almond shaped green eyes, equal with a warm and glowing appearance, and Nefertiti the 14 years old Abyssinian represent this gorgeous breed with the elegance of a beautiful queen!

And finally a portrait about Carter, a white cat with an eye patch.  It is not at all easy to paint a white, fluffy cat, but fortunately Carter has a pretty patch around one eye, so my painting session was not only searching desperately some shadows on a white cat, but I could play around his eyes to make the resemblance easier!

Cat Paintings

Three cat paintings from my Cats of Karavella Atelier, Cat Portraits Collection.

The first painting is about Meeka and Vincent the Twin Cat Brothers. Can you spot the difference? Well, I needed to check it twice too! This adorable cat twins are really similar to each other. Meeka on the left has a darker, full black patch on the tip of his nose, and a white hairline. while Vincent nose patch is a bit smaller. I was really happy for this custom order, because the photograph is really cute. The are sharing the same chair, sitting in the same position, and while I was painting about them, I was wondering what could be the story behind? Were they waiting for a special treat, or they just did something wrong, and were having a lecture from Mom?

The next is a commissioned watercolor portrait about the very handsome Melo, the blue tuxedo. Just look into his captivating eyes, and you will fell in love in an instant! He seems to know all of your secrets, and even more!

And finally a painting about Lola the Long Haired Tortoiseshell Cat. They say, if you dream about a tortoiseshell cat, soon you will be in love! It is so true, most likely you will fell in love with a Tortie, because this fur color is truly beautiful! It is not a surprise, that tortoiseshell was a highly priced material used in manufacturing everything from jewellery to furniture until they banned to use it. And Lola has it all, the beauty, grace and sophistication!

Cat Art by Cats of Karavella

I am introducing three new cat paintings from my Cat Portraits Collection.

First of all, a painting about Roxy the ragdoll cat.   I was very happy to receive the photograph of the gorgeous Roxy! A very good quality image of lovely point coloured cat, with beautiful bright blue eyes, which allowed me to paint a detailed watercolor portrait. This original painting is in Australia now, alongside with two other commissioned portraits of a long haired tortoiseshell cat, and a handsome blue tuxedo cat.

Second painting is about the beloved Lola, the long haired fluffy cat. She was always letting her pinky tongue out, just to look even more cute! With her tortoise shell fluffy fur, she was a real sweetie!

And finally a double portrait titled Sphynx Love,  and as there is always a first one in everything, for me this is my first Sphynx cat art. And I must say, I could never have this adorable furless babies! Why? Because I would be so concern constantly that they catch cold. Merlin and Mia were looking at me from the photograph, and I just didn’t know, why they are so angry with me. There is that continuous blaming in their eyes, and even when I finished the painting, the mystery remained unsolved. They look really pissed off, and they are cutie how they are!
