Tom, Sly and Mango – Cat Art

First of all a cute little kitty painting about Tomino know how to be at the right place, in the right time! He was in the middle of a lane, chased by a crow when his future mom and dad was rushing with car to a doctor appointment with their recently born baby. Well, it was the lucky day of the little one, as his future mom was running to save his life risking hit by cars, and loosing the appointment to the doctor! Since then he is a happy little cat, found his way to fit into a loving family! You can watch me painting little Tom here.

And finally watercolor painting about beloved Mango, the lovely Flame Point Siamese cat who passed too soon the Rainbow Bridge. You can watch also a time lapse video about making the portrait of Mango here.

Three cat paintings

Another three cat art from my Cat Portraits Collection.

First of all a watercolor painting to remember the beloved Princess, this beautiful calico cat! She was a feral sister of the handsome twin cats Meeka and Vincent, who I introduced before, and unfortunately died in a car accident!

The second artwork is about Nefertiti, an Abyssinian cat painting. The Aby is often said to look as if they had just walked straight out of the wild. That’s because of his ticked coat pattern, which resembles that of wild cats such as cougars. Burned Sienna, Cinnamon, large almond shaped green eyes, equal with a warm and glowing appearance, and Nefertiti the 14 years old Abyssinian represent this gorgeous breed with the elegance of a beautiful queen!

And finally a portrait about Carter, a white cat with an eye patch.  It is not at all easy to paint a white, fluffy cat, but fortunately Carter has a pretty patch around one eye, so my painting session was not only searching desperately some shadows on a white cat, but I could play around his eyes to make the resemblance easier!

Dreamland

Three watercolor cat paintings from my Cat Portraits Collection.

On the first painting a Bengal and a Savannah cats somehow were swallowed by a giant white towel, which sent them together immediately to Dreamland.

The second painting is a commissioned portrait about the tuxedo Elvis had a very tough start in life. As a kitten, he was living with a hoarder, who couldn’t care less of him. When he was hit by a car, nobody took him to the vet to see his broken jaw, so it fixed by itself without any assistance, and left him with a little a teeth exposed from his mouth. When they found him, was already nothing to do, but he got a second chance, and was very lucky as Dawn rescued him, and he is having a happy life since then with his new loving family. He is a perfect, jolly guy, and the cutest cat ever! That is why I give the title to this cat portrait, Lucky Elvis!

And finally a Lynx Point Siamese Cat Painting inspired by by a photograph I received to my Cats of Karavella Atelier Facebook page! I must be biased when I choose a lynx point cat to paint, as I have one myself. so obviously I found them absolutely gorgeous! And Paulie was a perfect model, with his sparking sky blue eyes and typical lynx point coloration, which give the reason to call this cats as Snow Tigers referring to the White Siberian Tigers.

Friends Forever

A new group photo about my pet portraits, from Karavella Atelier.

Watercolor paintings about these lovely couples, Baby Olive with Stig, Chloe and Callie, Piglet with Watermelon.

I know probably Piglet Likes Watermelon is a unusual title but the couple on my painting is as extraordinaire as the title. These two loves each other. Piglet the adopted, senior English Bulldog lady, found her BFF in a black cat called Watermelon. They love to walk, play, watch television together, or just have a lazy nap next each other on sunny afternoons. Their cute names are free translation from Hungarian, Rofike for the dog which mean little pig, and Dinnye for watermelon, or Greek melon for the black cat.

The next cat painting titled You Are Mine , a watercolor painting about a Siamese kitten, Baby Olive, giving a big hug to her big tabby brother Stig.

And finally a custom order cat painting titled Friends Forever, remembering the lovely sisters Chloe and Callie who both passed the rainbow bridge, and reunited in Cat Paradise. The painting was made from a sweet photograph, where the sisters are enjoying each-others company, a nap together on a lazy afternoon.

Dreaming of Ginger

A new group photo about my watercolor cat portraits:

First of all a long haired calico cat painting about Misty, who has got the look.

A Blue Tuxedo cat painting, because I have a thing about blue cats. One is my selfish reason why I love to paint them so much, is to use my favourite indigo blue color. Practically adding some white, black and yellow for the eyes, you can paint a cat only with one color, which is a great exercise to make something as simple as possible, just based on shadows and lights and some contours. But there is another thing about Russian Blue Cats, above their gorgeous fur with blue hue, is their gaze, they suggest, they know it all, they rule the world, and they have lots of responsibility on their shoulder. This watercolour painting about a Russian Blue Cat with white chest, who is wearing her tuxedo with class, was inspired by a photograph of one of my dear follower on my Cats of Karavella Facebook Page.

Finally an orange tabby cat painting titled Dreaming of Ginger. Ginger in our dreams is a sign that you have achieved in your life that you feel secure and comfortable with what you have, and did so far. It can also warn you need to spice up your life with a little excitement. This two ginger tabby with beautiful markings are certainly very relaxed with their achievements, nothing can trouble their synchronised napping. This watercolor cat painting was inspired by the lovely photograph of Cynthia, about Gut Gut and Golden Boy.
