Welcome back to my blog, introducing my paintings about Portugal. Five recent watercolors to share with you from my Portugal Artworks Collection, this time we visit two medieval villages, the beautiful streets of Marvao, and also Obidos, Sintra Cabo Da Roca and Praia da Mira.
The first painting is a watercolor about a street with hydrangeas, in Marvao Portugal.
Marvão is an enchanting village in the Alentejo region in Portugal, set on a great granite escarpment, one of those old enchanted places in the whole southern Europe which worth a visit .
It is described as an eagle’s nest hidden away in the hills. You will walk here between 13th century walls, with whitewashed houses, narrow streets, and medieval archways, wrought iron balconies, vintage street candles, an old castle which seems rise from a living rock, so practically everything typical from a delightful picture postcard village.
Another painting about Marvao inspired by my own photograph, about the most beautiful medieval window with climbing red roses, in a picturesque village in Alentejo Portugal.
The next is a watercolor painting about the traditional fishing boats Xavegas on the Praia de Mira, which is situated on the Silver Coast, near Coimbra, between Figueira da Foz and Aveiro.
A recent Watercolor Painting about a beautiful view to the Cabo Da Roca Lighthouse in Portugal.
Aqui, onde a terra se acaba e o mar começa … quote from Luis Camões, in his famous book ‘Os Lusíadas’, says here, where the land ends and the sea begins. It was how Camões described the Cabo da Roca ‘ as it is situated at the continental Europe’s westernmost point.
The lighthouse Cabo Da Roca is a beautiful touristic attraction close to Cascais and Sintra.
The last one is a bougainvillea painting , a street view of Obidos, a charming medieval village.
